Column | Why you get CTDs in FSX and how to fix them

Feb 17, 2012

We’re back on track with our weekly columns thus … another week passed by. On the other hand, another column on the horizon.

This weeks column, written by John Vennema, deals with all the ins and outs of FSX CTD (Crash To Desktop) issues and how to handle them including lots of other suggestions. According to John “Consider this scenario … You are flying over your favourite scenery in FSX, enjoying your flight – when you begin to see large black squares appearing on the terrain, and blurred ground textures. Then some stuttering and a loss of frames.” Followed by much more background information.

It’s not a story that only explains the problems and leaves you with that. No, John tries to highlight items and which possibilities are available to reduce CTD’s with less fsx.CFG tweaking.
