Airport Zurich: More of Switzerland for X-Plane 10!

Jun 14, 2012

Airport Zurich for X-Plane 10 Global is available! After last week`s Airport Lugano release Aerosoft now presents the second airport in Switzerland.

The airport Zurich is Switzerland´s main airport, located approximately 13 km to the north of the city center.
The airport has three Docks (A, B and E) whereas Dock B, being the oldest, was put out of service for aviation purposes in 2003.

Airport Zurich itself has received numerous awards like “Europe´s Leading Airport” to “Best airport in food and drinks” and a special prize for Swiss Steelworks (due to its construction).

    Hi,

First of all I would like to compliment Aerosoft with the level of quality of which the X-plane sceneries are made. I purchased Lugano as well as Keflavik as soon as they became available for download and I must say: I love it, really nice and detailed.
I’m looking forward to Amsterdam and Toulouse as well and I was pleasantly surprised to read that Zurich has been released already. All these airports provide a nice European network to fly on.
I just had a look at the picture library for Zurich and I was shocked, first of all by the amount of detail that has gone into the scenery, it’s really looking nice. But I was also shocked by looking to an airport that is completely deserted, there is not a single static aircraft provided. Because of this the airport looks extremely empty and deserted.

    My Question:
Why does Aerosoft choose to release such a nice airport scenery so empty? Is there a deliberate reason for this?
I certainly want to purchase this scenery (as I did with Lugano and Keflavik) but now first thing I need to do is add some ‘Life’ to the airport by adding some aircraft. This remark is also valid for Lugano but there are a few aircraft located there and the airport is much smaller through which one doesn’t notice the ‘emptyness’ as much.

    Regards,
